Carey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kelsey Bursby, who scored 3 points along with 7 steals. Bursby is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Riley Yost was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Carey's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Mohawk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Carey will head out on the road to face off against Seneca East at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mohawk, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bucyrus at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
