The Churchill Bulldogs were the 57-33 winner over the Quince Orchard Cougars when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Churchill fell 37-29 to Quince Orchard on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Churchill has lost by exactly eight points.
Quince Orchard was led to victory by Sydney Richardson and Evelyn Steele. Richardson scored eight points along with six steals, while Steele dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kasey Rappaport, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Churchill and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Quince Orchard, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchill is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wootton at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th. As for Quince Orchard, they will challenge Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
