The Benjamin Franklin Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 66-51 to Northwest Christian. Benjamin Franklin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northwest Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Benjamin Franklin still got an impressive performance from Kyle Mott, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Christensen, who scored 14 points.
Benjamin Franklin's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Northwest Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin will be home for the holidays to greet Arete Prep at 5:55 p.m. on December 23rd. Northwest Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Camp Verde at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Camp Verde and Northwest Christian are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
