The Elsinore Tigers and the Hemet Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Elsinore Tigers had to settle for second. Elsinore's rough 38-13 loss to Hemet might stick with them for a while. Elsinore's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Although Elsinore took the loss, they still got scores from Jeremiah Leverette and Caden Maxfield.
It was another big night for Daniel Mendoza, who rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Mendoza was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Elsinore's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hemet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Elsinore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hemet will head out on the road to face off against Torrance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Torrance is ranked 286th, while Hemet is ranked 272nd).
