Quaker Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joey Coyle led the charge by scoring 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Coyle has scored at least a third of Quaker Valley's points. Zach Washington was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
The victory got Quaker Valley back to even at 8-8. As for East Allegheny, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Quaker Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against West Mifflin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (West Mifflin is ranked 285th, while Quaker Valley is ranked 297th). As for East Allegheny, they will head out on the road to face off against Avonworth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Avonworth's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while East Allegheny has been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
