Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Happy Valley

Happy Valley entered their tilt with Hampton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Hampton Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-6 on Monday.

Lane Parker and Grady Goulds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Parker pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Goulds struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Parker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Parker scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Goulds scored a run while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs Parker has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Hartsook, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Johnson, who got no hits from his an at bat.

Happy Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Happy Valley now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Hampton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, Happy Valley will head out on the road to take on South Greene at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Happy Valley is facing South Greene at the right time seeing as South Greene is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Hampton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against University School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
