After a string of five wins, the Central Grizzlies's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Dinuba by a score of 47-44. Central lost against Dinuba in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-39 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Na'Jae Stevenson. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Branden Ezell, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Dinuba, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will be home for the holidays to greet Selma at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dinuba will finish 2023 at home by hosting Monache at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Monache focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday.
