Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Griffith). They blew past the Whiting Oilers 20-1 on Monday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven  runs or more this season.
 Parker Hecht tossed a big game,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Griffith is 3-1 when  Hecht allows two or  fewer  earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise.
 At the plate,  Jason Quillin was a standout: he got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. He has become a key player for Griffith: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aiden Anthony, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 Griffith  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whiting only posted  an  OBP of  .176.
Griffith's victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-9. As for Whiting, their loss was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-17.
Griffith will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oilers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
