FAU High is 0-4 against the Scots since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. FAU High is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
FAU High pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Somerset Academy - Canyons 94-62. FAU High was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Andrew Chamberlain, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Austen Smith was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Saint Andrew's put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Spanish River with a sharp 70-45 victory. Given Saint Andrew's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Sharks are ranked 443rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
FAU High's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Saint Andrew's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
FAU High was taken down by the Scots 85-42 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point FAU High was down 41-18.
