Scott's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Rumford, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Sage Stoecklein, who scored 15 points.
Mason Martin and Tony Moore certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Martin scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds, while Moore scored 10 points along with 3 steals. Jason Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 3 steals.
Scott's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hoisington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Scott will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. As for Hoisington, they will take on South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
