Irvington Preparatory Academy will head out to take on the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Irvington Preparatory Academy has nine straight wins, Morristown has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Irvington Preparatory Academy made easy work of Indianapolis Washington and carried off a 20-3 victory. The result was nothing new for Irvington Preparatory Academy, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jordan White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Aiden Pollock was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cortez Jenkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, while it was Morristown who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was Herron who put up more. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Achaeans by a score of 10-9. While the Yellow Jackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Achaeans 5-0 in the first period.
Irvington Preparatory Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Morristown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Irvington Preparatory Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Morristown when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Irvington Preparatory Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
