Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bennett Canale, who scored ten points along with three steals. Canale hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Antonio Castro, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Houma Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Houma Christian the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Thomas Jefferson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
