Avon skirted past Falmouth Academy 51-48. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Avon has scored all year.
Avon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Medeiros, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Medeiros pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Thomas Edwards, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Avon's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Falmouth Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon will take on Norfolk County Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falmouth Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Atlantis at 4:00 p.m.
