The Baldwin Bulldogs posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over Augusta. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Baldwin has scored all season.
Baldwin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Carr out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joey Ziembicki, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Baldwin and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin and Wellsville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wellsville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Augusta, Augusta and El Dorado will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. El Dorado has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
