If The Washingtonville Wizards were riding high off their 57-25 takedown of the Wallkill Panthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Washingtonville fell just short of Warwick by a score of 19-16. It was the first time this season that Washingtonville let down their fans at home.
Among those leading the charge was Johnny Accardo, who rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns.
Washingtonville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Warwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Washingtonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warwick will head out on the road to face off against Cornwall Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cornwall Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
