St. Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-8 to the Tates Creek Commodores. One positive for the Crusaders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Tyler Detzel led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Landon Schuler was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

St. Henry's record is now 0-7. As for Tates Creek, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, St. Henry will challenge Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Highlands will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Tates Creek, they will face off against Lexington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Tates Creek their first taste of in-conference action this season.
