Goodland came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Silver Lake, but Dayne Johnson wouldn't allow it. The Eagles walked away with a 62-54 win over the Cowboys on Saturday with plenty of help from Johnson, who went 7-for-14 en route to 21 points and eight boards. His big performance that afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Bergmann, who posted three points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Goodland, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Silver Lake and Goodland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Goodland, their break will end when they face Holcomb at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
