In what's become a running theme this season, the Brentwood Bruins gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 72-39 victory over Summit. Given Brentwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Summit is ranked 188th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ella Ryan, who scored 24 points along with five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Morris, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Summit, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8.
Brentwood will challenge Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Independence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Summit, they will be playing at home against Nolensville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nolensville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
