Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nashua South). Everything went their way against the Alvirne Broncos on Wednesday as they made off with a 22-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Purple Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Brooke Berger was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Richer-Valentin, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Nashua South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The win got Nashua South back to even at 3-3-1. As for Alvirne, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
