Sachse has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Timber Creek has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sachse let Fort Worth Christian stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Friday but luckily Sachse prevailed anyway. The Mustangs walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Cardinals.
Alex Moreno was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Moreno was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Greyson Darden was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
Sachse hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Worth Christian struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Timber Creek challenged Richardson on Friday. The Falcons came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-3.
Andrew Quintana looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aiden Lumas, who earned three runs and six stolen bases. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Timber Creek's win bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Sachse, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Sachse was able to grind out a solid victory over Timber Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 4-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
