The Kermit Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to take on the Presidio Blue Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Kermit fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Bucks on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 67-65. Kermit's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Zeke Espino, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Julian Saenz, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Presidio was able to grind out a solid victory over the Buffaloes on Tuesday, taking the game 47-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Presidio.
Kermit's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Presidio, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Kermit came up short against the Blue Devils in their previous meeting back in January, falling 61-49. Can Kermit avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
