Eaglecrest was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (110-107), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 25-23, 16-14.
Mullen better focus on containing Natalia Jarzebczyk and Ella Mack as the pair were huge in Eaglecrest's win. Jarzebczyk had 26 assists and seven digs, while Mack had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave Mack a new career-high.
Eaglecrest has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Mullen, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-2.
