The Eisenhower Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a tough 63-39 loss at the hands of Westfield. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Eisenhower has suffered against Westfield since January 12, 2021.
Eisenhower's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keiora Gaines, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. Gaines continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Genesis Watson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Eisenhower has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Westfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eisenhower will take on Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Aldine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday. As for Westfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nimitz presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westfield in Texas (Nimitz is ranked 180th, while Westfield is ranked 692nd).
