It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Southwest DeKalb Panthers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past Miller Grove with a 59-54 win. That's another feather in the cap for Southwest DeKalb, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sam Turner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Glanton, III, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Southwest DeKalb and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Miller Grove, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest DeKalb will take on Clarkston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
