Northtown is a perfect 9-0 against Our Lady of Tepeyac since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pumas will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northtown has three straight wins, Our Lady of Tepeyac has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Northtown beats Our Lady of Tepeyac with 17 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Pumas put the hurt on Holy Trinity with a sharp 17-3 victory on Wednesday. With that win, the Pumas brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Anastasia Valenzuela made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Valenzuela was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Northtown got a massive performance out of Genesis Collazo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Leilani Mejia, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Northtown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Our Lady of Tepeyac's offense. They lost 14-0 to Walther Christian Academy on Wednesday.

Our Lady of Tepeyac's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Northtown, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6.

Northtown took their win against Our Lady of Tepeyac when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3 score. Do the Pumas have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
