After a string of three wins, the Florence Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Brookhaven 65-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Jaylen Haliburton, who scored 27 points along with five assists and five steals for Brookhaven. Haliburton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Kordell Collins was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Brookhaven, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brookhaven also has no future games currently scheduled.
