The West-Oak Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Banks County 63-36.
When it comes to explaining why West-Oak lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Towe. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Towe scored a full 47.2% of West-Oak's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Kaliski, who scored eight points.
West-Oak has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Banks County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
West-Oak won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Rabun County has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20. Banks County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against River Ridge at 8:30 p.m. on December 22nd. River Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
