The Marion Giants''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 63-0 victory over Frankfort. The victory was just what Marion needed coming off of a 41-7 defeat in their prior matchup.
Marion found their leader in underclassman Tim Jones, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Jones was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards. Another player making a difference was Ly?carr Bledsoe, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Marion's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Frankfort, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
Marion will square off against Kokomo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frankfort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
