Victory Christian Center moved up to 177 from 219 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in NCISAA Freelance. The Kings were able to make the jump by defeating Trinity Christian 54-6.
Victory Christian Center extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Crusaders, 54-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for Dee Brown's team.
Davidson Day's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Will Grier threw for 398 and eight touchdowns and Aaron Seward had 167 yards receiving. On the ground Grier chipped in 122 yards. Jordan Young helped Davidson Day's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 79 yards.
Davidson Day's Grier and Seward have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Grier has thrown for 3068 yards this season, while Seward, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 41 catches for 1009 yards. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's Gerrio Rahming leads the league in rushing yards with 1345.
A big matchup in NCISAA Freelance this week will be when Trinity Christian takes on Metrolina Christian Academy. As it stands, Chuck Webster's team is in seventh, while the Warriors are in third.
The Kings took down the Crusaders 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
