It was a good run, but Midtown unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pace Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Midtown of the 51-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Darrion Hadley and Lawrence Barreau certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hadley posted 12 points and seven boards, while Barreau put up seven points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylik Benoit, who earned four points and five boards.

Midtown's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Pace Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Midtown has already played their next contest, a 46-45 loss against Discovery on the 13th. As for Pace Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-60 defeat against Westminster on the 13th.
