The Larimore Polar Bears had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] on Friday. Larimore has not had much luck with North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Larimore's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jace Collison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Michael Myers who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Avery Gratton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Larimore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina], they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Larimore will be home for the holidays to greet Midway/Minto at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northern Cass at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th.
