Softball Recap: Franklin Wins Going Away Against Lansdowne

While Franklin put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Lansdowne. Franklin put the hurt on Lansdowne with a sharp 18-0 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Scarlett Cornwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Cornwell was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Franklin let Jada Lochary and Mia Cleveland run wild. Lochary went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Cleveland scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Trinati Turner, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lansdowne, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
