The Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens waltzed into their game on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 70-36 win over Achievement First. Academy of Science and Innovation has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jamal Kulaib, who scored 26 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Kyle Swaby was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two blocks.
Academy of Science and Innovation pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Achievement First, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Science and Innovation will take on Bulkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bulkeley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Academy of Science and Innovation is ranked 30th). As for Achievement First, they will be playing at home against Capital Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
