The Wolfson Wolfpack lost against the Middleburg Broncos back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wolfson was dealt a 50-23 loss at the hands of Middleburg.
Hannah Timmerman and Anne Craig Charnley certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Timmerman scored nine points, while Charnley scored eight points. That was a full 39.1% of Wolfson's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Wolfson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Middleburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wolfson will take on Bishop Kenny at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Kenny is coming into the match with eight straight losses at home, so Wolfson is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Middleburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Middleburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Columbia is ranked 154th).
