Elkhorn North extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping their season record up to 11-7 in the process. They beat the Wahoo/Bishop Neumann Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.
Ethan Asmus made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 matches.
In other pitching news, Elkhorn North got a great performance from Cole DeBuse as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. DeBuse has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Asmus wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Austin McMurtry, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
