Lewiston and Moscow are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Bengals are taking a road trip to face off against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Lewiston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Sandpoint 5-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 18th, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Guy Krasselt, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Lewiston is undefeated when Krasselt posts two or more stolen bases, but 8-13 otherwise.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Moscow and Lakeland, and Moscow kept the tradition alive. The Bears walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday.
Butch Kiblen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Andrew Hurley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Isakson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Moscow pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Lewiston, their record now sits at 11-13.
Lewiston might still be hurting after the 8-2 defeat they got from Moscow in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bengals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
