Given Life Center Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 131st in New Jersey, while Solebury is ranked 313th in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Life Center Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Brown, who scored 24 points along with five assists and two steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Al-Tariq Reevey was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Solebury lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyler Simpson, who scored 19 points. Simpson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Makhai Anderson, who scored 13 points.
Life Center Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Solebury, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Life Center Academy will head out on the road to challenge Rock Creek Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Solebury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Foundations at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
