Arizona College Prep is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Arcadia is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Arizona College Prep Knights will take on the Arcadia Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, it was close, but Arizona College Prep sidestepped Mesquite for a 15-12 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arizona College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas O'hara, who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ashton Sanchez also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
Arizona College Prep's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Mesquite's QB won't forget Cayden Gibson anytime soon given Gibson sacked him six times.
Meanwhile, Arcadia can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Vista Grande at home to the tune of 48-20.
Arcadia can attribute much of their success to Braylen Rooney, who threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns, and Brady Forst, who gained 156 total yards and three touchdowns. Forst is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played.
Arizona College Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
Arizona College Prep came up short against Arcadia in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 20-7. Can Arizona College Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
