Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles walked away with it. They walked away with a 49-41 win over the Twisters on Saturday. 49 seems to be a good number for Jac-Cen-Del as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jac-Cen-Del's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julia Meyer, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Meyer is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Kelsey Borgman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Jac-Cen-Del is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Oldenburg Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 20-5.
Jac-Cen-Del and the Eels will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eminence will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Oldenburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
