The McClatchy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They fell 78-68 to River City. Even though they lost, McClatchy's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
When it comes to explaining why McClatchy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendall Andrews. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 30 points and 27 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andrews has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vincent Seyford, who scored ten points along with five assists and three steals.
Tyrone Orr went supernova for River City, scoring 26 points. Orr continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Chris Walker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
McClatchy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. As for River City, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17.
McClatchy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. River City also has no future games currently scheduled.
