Baseball Recap: Brookwood Has No Trouble Against Central

Brookwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Central Falcons. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season.

Brayden Greene spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Ethan Green was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Creel, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Brookwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Brookwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brookwood will venture away from home to challenge Tuscaloosa Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they will head out to face off against Minor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.55 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
