Highland is 1-9 against Thunder Ridge since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rams will face off against the Titans at 3:30 p.m. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
While Highland's win against Century wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams' pitcher stepped up to hand the Diamondbacks a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Not much got past McKenna Sutton, who gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Century off the board. Sutton has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Highland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Sommers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge entered their tilt with Rigby on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Carly Jones looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Thunder Ridge got a massive performance out of Zoey Sorg, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chelsea Adams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
Thunder Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rigby only posted an OBP of .346.
Thunder Ridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Highland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Highland's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Thunder Ridge, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Highland continue to outrun the ball?
Highland might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Thunder Ridge in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
