Lakeside will challenge Cleveland on the road at 6:00 PM on Friday. Lakeside don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Roosevelt and Lakeside were playing football. Lakeside snuck past Roosevelt with a 64-58 win. Among those leading the charge for Lakeside was junior Jack Dickinson, who picked up 185 yards on the ground and accumulated 318 passing yards. Dickinson has been a consistent playmaker for Lakeside as this was the 7th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, after a dominant victory in their contest two weeks ago, Cleveland were humbled last Friday. They have to be aching after a bruising 12-45 defeat to Ballard.
Lakeside's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Cleveland's loss dropped them down to 2-3. Cleveland's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Lakeside defensive front that amassed five sacks against Roosevelt, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
