The Odem Owls won the last time they faced the Alice Coyotes, and things went their way on Saturday too. Odem slipped by Alice 50-49.
When it comes to explaining why Alice lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alejandro Asevedo. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ynfante, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Odem's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Alice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Odem will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Hebbronville at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Hebbronville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday. As for Alice, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aransas Pass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aransas Pass is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
