The Minto Lakers lost against the Walter Northway Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Minto had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Walter Northway. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Minto in their matchups with Walter Northway: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reese Gibson, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ruth Fox, who scored 12 points.
Minto's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Walter Northway, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Minto won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Effie Kokrine Charter at 9:00 a.m. on February 9th. Minto is facing Effie Kokrine Charter at the right time seeing as Effie Kokrine Charter is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Walter Northway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
