Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Carl Hayden Community hit Central with a eight-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats came up short against the Falcons, falling 16-6. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Angel Andino Palacios and Javier Liu Godinez did some serious damage despite the final result: Andino Palacios went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Godinez went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Godinez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Frank Orlando Ortega, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Carl Hayden Community, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

While Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
