The Natrona County Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thunder Basin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Natrona County of the 59-35 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Thunder Basin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Rouse led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rouse has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Attie Westbrook, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Natrona County bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Thunder Basin, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Natrona County will be playing at home against Campbell County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Campbell County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Thunder Basin, they will head out on the road to take on Sheridan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
