Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Loogootee's Third in Last Four Outings

If North Daviess wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Loogootee, they should've done a better job of containing Jocelynn Sims. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars on Tuesday for which the team can thank Sims, who had 18 digs and three aces. Sims is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

While Loogootee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22, 25-16.

Loogootee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for North Daviess, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Loogootee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Forest Park on the 11th. As for North Daviess, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Washington on the 11th.
