East Forsyth is a perfect 10-0 against R.J. Reynolds since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Demons at 7:00 p.m. R.J. Reynolds took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on East Forsyth, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, East Forsyth strolled past Northwest Guilford with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Vikings are ranked 94th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cannen Rottweiler had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 173 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. He has become a key player for East Forsyth: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Forsyth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to East Forsyth's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Luke Vandergrift and Chosen Hyman, who racked up four sacks between them.
Despite a strong season so far, R.J. Reynolds has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were dealt a 55-0 defeat at the hands of West Forsyth on Friday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.
The win made it two in a row for East Forsyth and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points over those games. As for R.J. Reynolds, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. East Forsyth has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 189.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like R.J. Reynolds struggles in that department as they've been averaging 162.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for East Forsyth against R.J. Reynolds when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-14 win. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 43-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
