Harrisburg won against Western Christian on Friday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cottage Grove Lions, sneaking past 9-8. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Jesse McKibben looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Harrisburg let Christian Baird and Joseph Blackman run wild. Baird scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Blackman went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Tanner Poff also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Harrisburg's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Cottage Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Coming up, Harrisburg will take on Salem Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cottage Grove, they will face off against Sweet Home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
